about me

i’ve been pretty obsessed with makeup for quite some time now. 

my sister was working on two film projects in 2003, and asked me if i would help out with makeup and wardrobe. i said yes…and the experience changed my life. it was on the set of those two films that i met my friend, alison, who was already an experienced makeup artist. by the time filming was finished, i had already decided that i was going to enroll myself into beauty school to become a skin care specialist. six months later,  i was a makeup artist working for chanel waiting to take my state board exam.

since then, i have worked for three of the best salon & spas in my area, doing facials, waxing, eyebrow & eyelash tinting, and eyelash extensions. for two seasons, i was NYC-based gotham girls roller derby team’s makeup artist. i have done makeup for countless weddings and special occasions and have most recently been doing makeup for a photographer who specializes in boudoir photo shoots (brandi grooms photography.)

my work has been seen in the wall street journal, blackbook, german playboy, rollingstone, newsday, bust magazine, marie claire, and on the cover of the new york times.

i have a b.a. in fine arts from syracuse university and a master’s degree in art education from monmouth university.
