my sister’s makeup trial

my sister, dina, is getting married in october and i am so excited to do her makeup.  she is having a super fun carnival-themed wedding at asbury lanes and she’s wearing a red dress with black and white striped lining and black tulle.  in keeping with that look, she chose a more dramatic look and we were trying to decide between gold shadow (left eye) or silver shadow (right eye).  we chose the gold, because it complimented her skin tone and green/hazel eyes.  here is a sneak peek of her makeup trial…i can’t wait for her big day!

kelly’s bridal makeup

i had an absolute blast today.  my friend, kelly, formerly known as lil red terror from the gotham girls roller derby team, contacted me about doing a makeup shopping day and lesson.  she is getting married down in maryland, so i will be unable to be there for the actual wedding.  she took a train here from NYC and we headed directly to ulta in holmdel to pick out her makeup.  she got bare escentuals foundation, concealer, and blush, stila lipstick, pop shadow, waterproof mascara and liner in dark brown, and a minty lip gloss!  she also picked up a great set of eco brushes.  we had lunch at the turning point and then drove back to my place. i tinted her lashes deep black and then we did a makeup lesson.  here are the results…. (i swear she has the best skin…she doesn’t even need makeup!)

dana, my friend and former neighbor, is getting married in september! this week i did her makeup trial, along with trisha, one of her bridesmaids.  beautiful girls!

here is a photo of one of my oldest (and best) friends, alison, and her husband, sidney.  i did makeup for her wedding two years ago in miami and i just received some professional shots to put on my website.  their wedding ceremony and reception was at the vizcaya museum & gardens. if you’re ever in the miami area, go check out the grounds…absolutely magnificent!

prom makeup

lots of prom makeup happening this week and next!  jasmine was getting her hair done by melissa c. and makeup done by me at salon L (allenhurst, nj) today.  i put bare escentuals mineral foundation on her with a bit of bronzer on top, NARS blush, and MAC shadows on her eyes. glitter band lashes added length and drama and i finished with a nude lip pencil underneath a neutral lip from benefit.  i’m sure she looked fabulous in her royal blue dress!

first communion

today i got to do makeup on nicolette b. for her first communion. the last time i did her makeup was three years ago when she was a flower girl in her aunt renee’s wedding. happy first communion! xo
